A “web log” or online diary. Blogs have been identified

What is Content Management System
(CMS)?
A software package that enables content to be managed on one or more
websites. A content management system allows one or more authors to
prepare and publish information online, without needing to prepare HTML
code. Modern systems allow information and resources (images, scripts,
etc.) to be stored in a database for re-use, automatic indexing and
searching, and for workflow management (authorization, publication,
retirement, archiving).
What is a Domain Name?
The unique name that identifies an Internet site. Domain Names have
two or more parts separated by dots. For example www.YourCompanyName.com,
which people use to access your website. Domain names are often used
to identify your company email address (i.e. JohnDoe@YourCompanyName.com),
and in most cases must be renewed yearly. Your Domain Name can be your
company name, product line, service provided....anything. Let your imagination
run wild....
What is e-commerce?
A system used to conduct business transactions of buying and selling
goods and services over a computer network.
What is email?
The common term for “electronic mail”, a method for writing, sending
and receiving electronic text (and audio and/or video) over a computer
network.
What is Flash?
Flash animation is a program allowing designers to create rich animations
including multimedia presentations, web animations, e-learning courses
and application front ends. If there is movement on a website, it's
probably flash.
What is a Hacker?
A Hacker is a very knowledgeable computer user who uses his or her knowledge
to invade other people's computers.
What is Hosting or Web Hosting?
Website Hosting is simply making your website available to be viewed
on the internet.
What is an IP address?
A Internet protocol (IP) address is the numeric address (i.e. 210.276.9.134)
that is translated into a domain name (YourBusiness.com) by a domain
name server (DNS). Each server connected to the Internet is assigned
a unique IP address.
What are Keywords?
(aka Meta Keywords) Keywords are a list of words and phrases that help
search engines index your website, they are part of the hidden HTML
code called Meta tags. See Meta-tags.
What are Meta-tags?
Contain information about your Web page that is read by the server.
The information in the META tags doesn't appear on the Web page itself,
but you can see it if you view the source code. META tags are placed
in the HEAD element, and the most used ones are keywords and descriptive
phrases.
What is Navigation or a Nav bar?
Navigation is how your visitor gets from one page to another within
your website. A well planned navigation system facilitates easy exploration,
and is as important as the actual content of your website. Various navigation
methods can be used such as, buttons or text. The Nav bar is usually
placed along the top or left hand side of the web page.
What is Search Engine Optimization
(SEO)?
Means designing and building a website in order to get the maximum exposure
in search engines. Among other things, this involves building key words
and phrases into the site which aren't seen by visitors.
What is a Server or Web Server?
The Server is the computer that is connected to the internet which contains
the files for your website. When you access the internet, your computer
requests the files from the server and they are displayed on your screen.
What is SPAM?
Spam is electronic junkmail sent from commercial businesses attempting
to sell you products or services.
