Your domain name should be your website name
A brand name is much better than a generic name
Choose a meaningful name, the shorter the better
Don't use hyphenated names, they're hard to remember
If you take the "my" and "the" versions, then you have to promote your site like that (mywebsite.com)
Avoid plurals unless you can also get the singular version
